closedWhen We Are Closed

When the practice is closed you can obtain urgent advice and treatment by telephoning the Saxilby surgery and selecting option one. You will automatically be transferred to the Out of Hours service. Other out of hours options include:

  • 111 – Lincolnshire residents can call 111 for conditions that are not life threatening. This is a free phone service providing advice and information and operates Monday to Friday 18:30 to 08:00, Weekends and Bank Holidays. The 111 service is also available via typetalk on 18001 111.
  • Out of hours pharmacies – Your local pharmacist will be able to give you free health advice at any time without an appointment. Many pharmacies operate extended hours, details of which can be found at
  • Accident and Emergency - In an emergency dial 999 immediately. Accident and emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • John Coupland Hospital's Minor Injury Unit which sees patients for a variety of common ailments as well as minor injuries.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
